HOLDEN, LA – April 8, 2025 – Kovatch Mobile Equipment Corp. (KME), a subsidiary of REV Group and a leading manufacturer of fire apparatus, will display its latest customized line up of fire apparatus at FDIC International (Fire Department Instructors Conference) in Indianapolis, Indiana from April 10-12, 2025, Booth #3737.
“KME is known for building workhorse fire apparatus that answers the specific demands of the fire department,” said Tim Besser, sales manager for KME. “We are excited about seeing our customers face-to-face in Indianapolis and talking about this year’s unique lineup.”
KME will showcase the following fire apparatus:
Tractor Drawn Rescue from Asheville (NC) Fire Department: Built on a KME Severe Service MFD chassis with flat roof cab and seating for six, this rig includes upper and lower transverse compartments, a tiller cab with sliding doors, rear ladder tunnel storage and five 20-inch-deep compartments on top.
Severe Service Pumper from Morningside (MD) Fire Department: This truck features the XMFD chassis with flat roof and seating for six, an ultra-low hosebed, 1,250 GPM pump, 500-gallon water tank, and 10 SCBA cylinder compartments in the fender.
Severe Service Pumper from Macomb (MI) Township Fire Department: Built on a Severe Service LFD chassis with 10” raised roof, this rig has a 750-gallon water tank, 30-gallon foam tank, 1500 GPM pump, and 29-inch wide full-depth compartments above the driver’s side.
Continuing past years’ theme “Protecting Those Who Protect Us,” REV Fire Group will host the popular “REV It Up Series” on Thursday and Friday at 12:00pm. This will include the REV It Up Product Review and live product walk-arounds, including interviews with National Fire Radio. The Asheville Tractor Drawn Rescue will be the focus of the Product Review on April 11. In addition, attendees and customers are invited to visit REV Specialty Vehicles Pavillion #4148 for complimentary coffee service each day until 1:00pm, as well as REV It Up Happy Hour at 2:00pm on Thursday, April 10 and Friday, April 11.

The REV It Up Happy Hour at 2 p.m. April 10 will include a toast and celebration of the 50th anniversary of Spartan Fire Chassis, including a highlight of top innovations and recognition of longtime employees and customers. On display will be an All-Wheel-Drive Equipped chassis.
As part of the REV Innovation Showcase, the Charlotte (NC) Fire Department’s new all-electric Vector pumper will be on display at FDIC, and Roger Lackore, REV Fire Group’s Senior Director of Product Development, will be on hand to discuss its many features and answer questions.
