by | Nov 13, 2025 | HORTON, REV AMBULANCE GROUP, REV GROUP, REV SPECIALTY VEHICLES SEGMENT

GROVE CITY, OH – Nov. 13, 2025 – Horton Emergency Vehicles, a brand of REV Group Inc., and a leader in ambulance safety, is expanding its manufacturing footprint in Grove City, OH, with the $2.6M purchase of an adjacent building.

This new 20,000 square foot building will focus on final assembly and the delivery processes and is expected to reduce delivery times and enhance customer experience. In addition, the property will help open extra space in the current assembly operations and offers additional parking for employees and in-process ambulances. Located at 3873 Gantz Road, the Horton team expects to be operating in the facility in early 2026.

“We were delighted when a property adjacent to Horton’s assembly plant became available and REV Group was able to move quickly and allocate the capital expenditure,” said Mike Albers, vice president and general manager, Horton Emergency Vehicles. “This expansion allows us to provide additional space for our employees to manufacture and deliver our high-quality Horton ambulances to our dealers and customers quicker, which helps to protect their people and communities.”

Horton settled in Grove City, OH in 1994, and its current facility and offices are located at 3800 McDowell Road. With over 100,000 square feet, the facility has been designed specifically for manufacturing high quality, custom-designed emergency medical vehicles and is equipped with advanced engineering and computer-technology support for manufacturing as well as customer service.

Since 1968, Horton has manufactured emergency vehicles and currently designs and builds Type 1, Type 3 and Critical Care Transport units for fire departments and hospitals, serving a nationwide market. Horton is known for employing rigorous testing and an emphasis on safety, quality, and customization.

WINTER PARK, Fla – March 19, 2025 – Wheeled Coach, a brand of REV Group, Inc.’s subsidiary REV Ambulance Group Orlando, Inc., and an industry-leading manufacturer of emergency vehicles celebrates 50 years of designing and manufacturing ambulances to serve EMS.

Wheeled Coach was founded in 1975 by Robert Collins Sr. in downtown Orlando, starting with a team of five employees who manufactured mobility vans and Type 2 ambulances. Today the company employs over 700 employees and has built and delivered over 50,000 ambulances to large and small municipalities, and commercial fleets across the globe, in addition to being an approved ambulance supplier for the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA). Every ambulance is built in-house in Winter Park, Florida by the team of manufacturing and engineering experts who customize each Wheeled Coach emergency vehicle according to customers’ precise specifications. Wheeled Coach is sold and supported by a dedicated, professional dealer network and is backed by a comprehensive product warranty for exceptional aftermarket support.

“Wheeled Coach is an iconic, thriving brand. Wheeled Coach was the first in the emergency vehicle industry to:

Conduct IIHS Side Impact Criteria Crash and Roll-Over Testing
Receive the ISO Certified ambulance manufacturer accreditation
Produce CNC machine-cut doors for repeatable accuracy
Engineer internal emergency door releases
Introduce the patented Cool-Bar™ for improved air flow, more accessibility to the compressor and enhanced exterior lighting.

Wheeled Coach will be celebrating their 50th anniversary with customer and dealers throughout this year at events such as FDIC, the American Ambulance Association’s Annual Conference and EMS World Expo.

Horton and IMMI Enhance Ambulance Safety with MBrace for Attendant Seat

Horton and IMMI Enhance Ambulance Safety with MBrace for Attendant Seat

by | Mar 10, 2025 | HORTON, REV AMBULANCE GROUP, REV SPECIALTY VEHICLES SEGMENT

GROVE CITY, OH – March 10, 2025 – Horton Emergency Vehicles, a brand of REV Group Inc.’s subsidiary Halcore Group, Inc, and a leader in ambulance safety, has partnered with IMMI to introduce the Horton Occupant Protection System™ (HOPS) featuring MBrace™ in the ambulance attendant seat.

First launched in 2023 for the side-facing CPR seat and squad bench, patent-pending MBrace is the first airbag safety system designed specifically to protect emergency care providers inside the patient compartment during ambulance rollovers and frontal impacts. It deploys within a fraction of a second and moves with the occupant during a collision, significantly increasing neck and head protection by securing and limiting spinal and head movement.

“Safety is part of Horton’s DNA, so we are proud to partner with industry leader, IMMI, to be the only ambulance manufacturer in the industry to offer this level of protection for the emergency services providers in the attendant seat,” stated Mike Albers, vice president and general manager for Horton Emergency Vehicles.

Research shows that most ambulance accident fatalities result from frontal collisions. 1 In addition, it is estimated that 2,000 EMS workers are injured each year in work-related motor vehicles accidents.2 Both Horton and IMMI are committed to protecting first responders so that they can perform their lifesaving duties. Designed and engineered by IMMI and tested extensively with Horton ambulances at the Center for Advanced Product Evaluation (CAPE), MBrace takes EMS protection to a new level.

“It’s a privilege to partner with Horton Emergency Vehicles because of their continued commitment to work tirelessly with us on innovations that save lives,” said Larry Gray, IMMI CEO.

All Horton ambulances currently include HOPS featuring MBrace in the CPR seat and squad bench; all orders received on and after June 1, 2025, will also have MBrace in the attendant seat.3

The MBrace system will be on display in the Horton Emergency Vehicles booth #4356 and the IMMI booth #4369 at FDIC International in Indianapolis, Indiana from April 10 – 12, 2025.

Find out more information about MBrace at www.hortonambulance.com.

3 MBrace will not be installed in the attendant seat if an Integrated Child Seat (ICS) is installed.
