BROOKFIELD, Wis – Sept. 10, 2024 – REV Ambulance Group brands American Emergency Vehicles (AEV), Horton Emergency Vehicles, Wheeled Coach, Road Rescue Emergency Vehicles and Leader Emergency Vehicles will particpate in EMS World® Expo, the largest EMS-dedicated event in North America. In addition to co-sponsoring the Ambulance Marketplace, emergency vehicles from each brand will be on display at the Las Vegas Convention Center (West Hall) from September 11-13, 2024.

On Thursday, September 12 from 3:45 – 4:45pm, the Ambulance Marketplace will have REV Ambulance Group and Sound Off Signal sharing experienced insights to those with ambulance purchasing power, on how to research and do their due diligence when purchasing a new or redesigned ambulance. This will be followed by a Q&A session and is located in the Learning Center located in the Expo Exhibit Hall.

Each brand will have new customer ambulances on display including:

AEV at booth #2721 will have an ambulance from Taney County (MO) Ambulance District and an American Medical Response ambulance on display.
Horton Emergency Vehicles at booth #2821 will have emergency vehicles from Austin-Travis County (TX) EMS, Ada County (ID) Paramedics and North Jefferson County (MO) Ambulance District.
Wheeled Coach at booth #2421 will have its Demo Unit on display along with an ambulance from Orlando (FL) Fire Department.
Road Rescue Emergency Vehicles at booth #2620 will have an ambulance from Monongalia (WV) EMS and its newly launched RediMedic ambulance.
Leader Emergency Vehicles at booth #3029 will have ambulances on display from Premier Ambulance and Royal Ambulance, both are ambulance services in California.

JEFFERSON, NC – Sept. 18, 2023 – American Emergency Vehicles (AEV®), one of the nation’s leading ambulance providers, will showcase two highly customized critical care transport (CCT) ambulances at EMS World Expo in New Orleans, Louisiana from September 20-22, 2023, booth #1029. CCT is considered the highest level of patient care for the most critically injured or ill patients.  The ambulances are designed to accommodate the extra equipment required when transporting patients in critical condition.

“We want to thank both the Kite Flight Specialty Transport Team of Covenant Children’s Hospital (Lubbock, Texas) and the Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children (Orlando, Florida) for partnering with us on the design of these exceptional ambulances and for allowing us to display them at this important EMS industry event,” said Randy Barr, director of sales, AEV.  “We are also grateful to the AEV dealers involved in these sales, namely SERVS, LLC and ETR, LLC, respectively,” added Barr.

The Covenant Children’s Hospital ambulance was built on a Ford® F-550 chassis with an extended 205” wheelbase and LiquidSpring® suspension systems installed on both the front and rear of the vehicle. Other features include automatic snow chains, an additional external condenser mounted in arctic wedge on the front of the body, a BigTex™ front grille guard, a secondary engine-driven HVAC compressor, a HALO LED® light rail in the patient compartment, dual patient compartment switch panels, an Onan® diesel generator, a rear entertainment system including TV and DVD player, ergonomic interior CCT design with EVS executive seating, solid surface countertops and Halo edge floor lighting.

The Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children CCT unit was built on a crew cab Freightliner® chassis with a 206” long X 98” wide body. Features include a roof mounted external condenser with branch protection, lighted skirt rails, electric entry doorstep, prep for an AeroClave® decontamination system as well as ActivTek INDUCT® 500. The Arnold Palmer vehicle also features an additional AC system mounted on the roof, a turn signal/backup/patient compartment camera system, a Stadco® diesel generator and a Firecom® communication system. The interior of this unit also features a specific CCT design to meet the needs of the customer, including EVS executive seating, multiple drawers, solid surface countertops, dual suction systems and dual Norcold® refrigerators.

Both vehicles feature dual Stryker® Power-LOAD® systems with one system being transverse on the bulkhead.

The long-time ambulance manufacturing team of Mark Van Arnam and Randy Hanson have been selected to lead the REV Ambulance Group. Mark will serve as President for the Group and Randy will function as Chief Operating Officer.

Prior to joining AEV, DeRousse served as Vice President of Operations at Doonan Specialized Trailers, LLC, as well as Vice President of Operations for Manac Trailers, USA. Barry has over 25 years of operations experience in various industries with a focus on Lean Manufacturing both in high volume/low mix and low volume/high mix product lines.

Hanson will continue to serve in a consulting role, ensuring a seamless leadership transition.
