OCALA, Fla – April 11, 2024 – REV Fire Group, which includes REV Group, Inc. fire apparatus brands E-ONE, KME, Ferrara, Spartan Fire Chassis, Spartan Emergency Response, Smeal, and Ladder Tower, will showcase sixteen of the latest in fire apparatus innovation and design including the Vector pumper, the first North American-style all-electric fire truck, during FDIC International (Fire Department Instructors Conference) in Indianapolis, Indiana from April 18-20, 2024.

“FDIC is an important show for all of our REV Fire Group brands – we get to showcase what sets our brands apart from each other and how our apparatus can help meet a fire department’s exact needs to best serve and protect their community,” said Mike Virnig, president, REV Specialty Vehicles Segment. “We’re looking forward to talking with our current customers and introducing potential new customers to REV Fire Group’s fire apparatus innovation.”

In celebration of first responders and in keeping with the theme “Protecting Those Who Protect Us,” REV Fire Group will host ‘REV It Up Coffee and Conversation with FDIC Live’ each morning, and ‘REV It Up Happy Hour’ and live product walk-arounds on Thursday and Friday, including live interviews with National Fire Radio. This will include Tiller Time Miller Time on Thursday which focuses on Tractor Drawn Aerial products.

As part of the Vector showcase segment, featured guests will include Division Chief Rob Anselmi of the Toronto Fire Department, whose Vector will be on display at FDIC, and Assistant Chief James Johnson of Mesa Fire & Medical Department, which has a Vector in its current fleet. Both will discuss their experiences with Vector.

REV Fire Group representatives will be present to discuss the unique features of each of the fire apparatus on display during the conference.

HOLDEN, LA – March 20, 2024 – REV Specialty Vehicles Segment, which includes fire apparatus manufacturing subsidiaries, is proud to announce Collis Heath has been named vice president and general manager for the Holden facility, where Ferrara™ and KME® fire apparatus are designed and manufactured.  Heath reports to Mike Virnig, president, REV Specialty Vehicles Segment.

Heath has previous experience as director of operations for Watts Water Technologies and held the positions of COO and vice president of supply chain and operations for Pro-Vigil Surveillance Services, part of The Riverside Company. In addition, Heath held senior manufacturing and supply chain leadership roles with Foxconn, Sony, General Electric, Be Green Packaging and Avigilon.

“Collis is a versatile and transformational leader with a proven record in rapid growth initiatives ensuring measurable improvements in productivity, quality and customer satisfaction while reducing costs,” said Mike Virnig, president, REV Specialty Vehicles Segment. “We believe his experience and history of operational success make him an ideal leader for the Holden facility, to continue to grow the Ferrara and KME brands.”

Heath has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Prairie View A&M University, Six Sigma Black Belt and Lean Manufacturing certifications as well as extensive professional development training with Dale Carnegie and General Electric.
